The Summer Ballet Academy Vienna proudly presents its first exclusive Vienna edition, created as the perfect opportunity for dancers to return to peak form before the professional season begins.

Designed for advanced, pre-professional, and professional dancers, this intensive week offers high-level training in one of Europe’s most inspiring cultural capitals, combining classical excellence, artistry, conditioning, and contemporary movement.

Dmitry Semionov
Former Principal Dancer of Mariinsky Theatre, Staatsballett Berlin & Semperoper Ballett Dresden. Renowned for his classical expertise, artistry, and coaching excellence.

Liudmila Konovalova
Principal Dancer of Wiener Staatsballett, admired for her technical brilliance, elegance, musicality, and exceptional interpretation.

to the Summer Ballet Academy, candidates are kindly invited to complete the application form available on our website and submit the following materials:

A concise CV outlining relevant professional experience and advanced training
A professional headshot
One photograph in first arabesque
One additional classical ballet photograph of the applicant’s choice
A video presentation of maximum 5 minutes, including:
one classical variation
one contemporary variation or pas de deux

Minimum age 12 years old . There is no upper age limit.

Please note that the Summer Ballet Academy is designed for advanced, pre-professional, and professional-level dancers. Admission is selective, and applicants are expected to demonstrate strong technical proficiency, artistry, and a solid foundation in classical ballet training.

                     
Profesional variation filming

as part of the Summer Ballet Academy Vienna, participants will have the exclusive opportunity to professionally record their variation(s) in high-quality video format.
Created in collaboration with professional filmmaker, this premium filming opportunity is designed to provide dancers with polished material suitable for:

• international competitions
• auditions
• academy and conservatory applications
• company submissions
• professional portfolios

Dmitry Semionov
International Guest Teacher

Born in Moscow, Dmitry Semionov studied at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg.
He was a Soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre and later Principal Artist with Staatsballett Berlin and Semperoper Ballett Dresden, where he also appeared as Resident Guest Principal Artist.

He has performed internationally with companies including the Mikhailovsky Theatre, Shanghai Ballet, Hong Kong Ballet, Kremlin Ballet Moscow, Croatian National Theatre Zagreb, Slovak National Theatre Bratislava, National Theatre Sarajevo, and others.

His repertoire and stage career brought him together with some of the world’s leading ballerinas, including Svetlana Zakharova, Polina Semionova, Uliana Lopatkina, Marianela Núñez, Iana Salenko, Anna Tsygankova, and others.

Dmitry is a Gold Medal Laureate of the Arabesque International Ballet Competition in Perm and recipient of the Yekaterina Maximova and Vladimir Vasiliev Award and the Press Jury Prize.
He was also nominated as Best Dancer by Ballettanz magazine in 2008 and 2009.

He has taught internationally at institutions and programmes including the State Ballet School Berlin, Prague Ballet Intensive, Summer Ballet Academy Dortmund, Comacchio in Danza, and Ashkenazy Ballet Center.
