SBA WINTER / XMAS & NEW YEAR EDITION 2026–27

A special holiday intensive by Summer Ballet Academy, created for young dancers who want to continue high-quality training during the Christmas and New Year break.
Nine intensive training days combining classical ballet, repertoire, contemporary work and body conditioning — with individual attention and a maximum of 24 students:

31 December & 1 January are free days.

THE PROGRAMME

The Winter / XMAS & New Year Edition continues the training philosophy of Summer Ballet Academy: professional-level teaching, individual attention and an inspiring environment in which young dancers can develop technically and artistically.
The programme includes daily:
Classical Ballet Technique
Variations & Repertoire
Contemporary Dance
Pilates, Gyrokinesis and Active Dance Physio

Additional classes will be scheduled throughout the programme to create a balanced intensive combining technique, artistry, strength, mobility and recovery.

Whenever possible, classical ballet training is accompanied by live piano music with professional ballet pianists, an important part of the Summer Ballet Academy training experience.


INDIVIDUAL AUDITION & COMPETITION PREPARATION

Students preparing for an upcoming audition, ballet school application, company audition or competition may request individual coaching in advance.

Depending on the student’s needs, the sessions can focus on audition material, classical variations, competition repertoire, technical details, artistry and presentation.

Individual coaching must be requested before the programme so that a suitable training time can be arranged.

APPLICATION & SELECTION

The SBA Winter Edition is a limited-capacity programme for a maximum of 24 students

New applicants are asked to submit one recent ballet photo and a short training or repertoire video together with their application.

Students who participated in Summer Ballet Academy 2025 or 2026 do not need to submit new photos or videos, as our artistic team is already familiar with their work.

Applications will be reviewed by the SBA team.

Only after acceptance will the student receive an official confirmation and an invoice for the €149 reservation fee.
The reservation fee secures the student’s place and is fully deducted from the final participation fee.

An important part of the Summer Ballet Academy training environment is also live musical accompaniment. SBA regularly collaborates with professional ballet pianists, including Igor Zapravdin.

The final faculty for the Winter / XMAS & New Year Edition will be announced separately.


WHY SBA WINTER EDITION?

Christmas holidays are a valuable opportunity not only to rest, but also to return to the studio with focus and purpose.
The Winter Edition allows dancers to maintain their technique during the school break, work individually on repertoire and prepare for the important audition and competition period that begins immediately after New Year.

With a maximum of 24 participant, the programme remains deliberately small, allowing our faculty to work closely with every dancer.
